Indian passport holders currently have a temporary visa waiver for tourism, business, social or transit purposes, for stays of up to 30 days, extended through 31 December 2026. For other purposes or once the waiver ends, an eVisa can be obtained in advance at malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my (about 3 months validity, single or multiple entry, 15- or 30-day stays).
- Submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within 3 days before arrival, at imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac — mandatory for every traveller regardless of visa-free, eVisa or eNTRI status, no fee
- Passport should be valid 6+ months from arrival
- Visa waiver covers stays up to 30 days; carry proof of onward/return travel

The 31 December 2026 visa-waiver end date is a temporary, extendable arrangement — reconfirm it close to the travel date since it has been extended repeatedly.
